This is a modifier, not a whole symbol: draw it where it belongs in the frame — that spot is kept (a dot up in the corner, a line underneath). The background stays see-through, so it will sit on top of every symbol that carries it.
This is a multi-symbol combination, not a single picture — only its name can be changed.
Draw the symbol with its hook or modifier, exactly as you would write it by hand — but leave the number out. The app writes the number itself, to the left, and uses a different one every time the card comes up.
This one is drawn around whatever number comes up, so there is no single picture to replace — but its name and its wordings are yours to change, and replacing the symbol it is built on changes it everywhere.
Out of every drill, list and search. Bring one back and it returns with its original picture and wording.

A wheel belongs on a house, not on an FBI agent. Pick the symbol it goes on, then draw the whole thing — the symbol and the modifier on it, as you would write it by hand. It saves as one picture, like mobile home or church. The backdrop is only there to trace over; it is never part of what is saved.
Both of these are needed before the modifier can save:
Add other phrasings one at a time below — a Synonym (single word/short term) or a Phrase (full example sentence), in any language.
Which Library section it appears in. The level above decides how it drills; this only decides where it is shown.

Every Level 3 and Level 4 sentence in the app. Left as they are, each one answers with a single symbol — which teaches "find the one symbol for the sentence" rather than "break the sentence into the symbols that carry it". Build the chain you would actually write and it replaces the single answer everywhere: drills, search, the Library.
Order is the meaning — the symbols show left to right, the way they go on the page. Two to four is usually right. Leave a row empty to keep its current answer.
Every word and phrase in the app, and the symbol it answers to. Search the whole set to find a wording when you don't know which symbol it belongs to — edits here save the same way as on the "Edit a symbol" tab.
One row per symbol, modifier, combination and pattern — the picture on the left, all of its words on the right. Retype as many as you like, then press Save all changes once. Pictures are not touched here; use "Edit a symbol" for those.
One wording per line, in whichever of the three boxes it belongs in — Synonyms for single words, then Short phrases and Longer phrases. The box is the filing: move a line from one to the other and that is where it stays. Anything never filed either way starts in Short or Longer by length alone, at 10 words, which is only a first guess for you to correct.
Commas are part of the wording, never a separator — that is why it is one per line. A wording that is not plain English carries a language tag: casa [es], se mudó de la casa [es].
Every row that checks out is saved, even if another one doesn't — anything that can't be saved stays here in red, still typed as you left it, with the reason. Each row has its own Save and Delete at the end. Deleting shows you everything that goes with it first — so does emptying a row's words box, which does the same thing.
Click any picture to redraw it. A pad opens over the table with the current drawing beside it. For a row built from several symbols, or one the app draws a dot onto, you're asked which symbol underneath you want to redraw.
The Library page, as sections you arrange. Press Edit on a section to rename its heading, rewrite the words under it, drag its symbols to another spot or another section, or take it out altogether — then Save changes, which is the only thing that writes. Cancel puts the section back the way it was. **Two asterisks** make a word bold. One section at a time, and what you save goes out to everyone.

The two card decks. How To is the tour somebody sees before they are approved; Pro Tips is the reminder deck, and one of its cards also turns up on Today and after a practice run. Rewrite a card, move it, add one, delete one — then Save this deck.
A card's picture is a symbol it points at, not a drawing of its own. Pick the symbol here and the card shows whatever that symbol looks like today; a card pointing at something nobody has drawn yet simply shows no picture.
The Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, as students read them from the footer. Paste the whole document in and press Save both — it goes out to everyone straight away, with no new version of the app.
A blank line starts a new paragraph. A line beginning with ## becomes a heading. **Two asterisks** make a word bold. Nothing else is interpreted, so a stray character cannot break the page.
A paragraph of connected speech, read aloud straight through with the words hidden, then the symbols that were in it. This is the closest thing in the app to the job — nobody interprets a list of words. Students find it in Practice, under "What to practice".
Tick them in the order they appear — that is the order they are reviewed in. The arrow on a tag moves it earlier.

The first number is live. The rest are counted from the last time each person opened the app, not from when they signed in — someone who stays signed in and drills every day still shows up.
Someone counts as in the app while their tab is open and in front of them. The app checks in once a minute, so a person drops off about two minutes after they close it — and a tab left open on a desk still counts. This list refreshes itself every 30 seconds while you have this tab open.
Store orders are checked every five minutes and access is granted automatically. Use Sync now if you'd rather not wait.

Only orders containing the Symbol Solution App grant access — course purchases are ignored. Fully refunded orders remove it again, but only for access this granted; anyone you approved by hand is never touched.
Anyone who signs in but isn't approved yet shows up here automatically — no typing required, just pick a tier or deny.

A symbol stands for an idea, not a word. Add the ones you would expect to hear — house, residence, dwelling, apartment — in any language you work in. Set the language beside each one and the drill will speak it in that voice.
Optional. Whole sentences you might really hear, in any language — these are what the harder levels drill you on.
A modifier is a small drawing you add on top of a symbol to change its meaning — an underline, an arrow, a circle. Draw it once here and it is yours, on its own, ready to be drilled.
Saved on its own, as its own drawing. A backdrop is only a placement aid while you draw — it is never part of what is saved. To put this modifier onto a symbol, draw the two together under Add Symbol; the app will not place it for you.
Draw the two together, in position, the way you would write it. Go to Add Symbol, choose A modifier, then One symbol only — pick the symbol, draw the modifier where it belongs on it, and say what the two together mean. It saves as one drawing of yours and joins your drills.
The app will never place a modifier for you. A modifier in the wrong spot is worse than none at all — it is harder to unlearn than to draw.
Chain 2–4 symbols together into one phrase, like "before" + "leaving the house". Your own symbols can be parts too.
A paragraph you want to practice on — something you are working on, a piece of testimony, anything spoken. It gets read to you straight through with the words hidden, the way it comes at you in the room. Then tick the symbols that came up in it, and you can check what you drew.
